Benedict holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Hons.) Degree from Strathmore University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law, from the Kenya School of Law, and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya as well as a CPA (1).
Benedict Munene Nzioki’s key areas of specialisation are dispute resolution, corporate – commercial, estate planning, property development and competition law. He is also well versed in the law surrounding mergers and acquisitions and private equity funding.
Benedict has been involved personal wealth management, estate planning and succession matters oh High Net Worth Individuals and families. He also advised on the development of one of the largest mixed-user developments in East & Central Africa. Under his competition practice, Benedict advised and undertook the merger notifications to the Competition Authority of Kenya, notifying them of the intended merger of two banks in Kenya, furthermore, he also advised on the regional notifications to the COMESA Competition Authority, notifying the body of mergers’ cross border implications. Benedict also advised an multi-national beverage company on the acquisition of a local bottling company.
Benedict has also advised a placement agent on the issuance of commercial paper to local and international companies totaling upto United States Dollars eleven million (USD. 11,000,000) and upto Kenya Shillings one billion (KES. 1,000,000,000), as well as advised on the structuring and securitization of these papers.
