Overview
Naomi Byabazaire is the Managing Partner of Ivory Advocates and Head of the Labour, Human Resource, and Immigration Law Functions of the firm. She has 15 years experience advising on employment law, immigration, NGO compliance, and commercial transactions.
Naomi holds an LLB from Makerere University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University. She is a Notary Public, a Commissioner for Oaths, and a registered Insolvency Practitioner. She served as Treasurer of the East Africa Law Society from 2022-2024 and sits on several Boards.

Employment and Labour Law - Advising local and international organisations on employment contracts, workplace policies, dispute resolution, and compliance with Ugandan labour laws.
Human Resource Advisory - Supporting HR departments with structuring, internal investigations, disciplinary procedures, and organisational policy development.
Immigration Law - Advising on work permits, special passes, and residence applications for expatriates and multinational entities.
NGO Compliance and Regulation - Advising non-governmental and not-for-profit organisations on registration, compliance, and regulatory matters in Uganda.
Commercial Transactions and Conveyancing - Advising on property acquisitions, leases, and general commercial matters, including contract negotiation and drafting.
