Eileen is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with experience spanning corporate and commercial law, international trade, financial and investment matters, regulatory compliance and commercial dispute resolution.
Her practice and academic focus encompass international finance, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investment law, financial regulation and International Trade policy informed by experience in private practice, advisory and international development. She combines strong legal analysis with a commercially grounded understanding of the regulatory and transactional considerations shaping businesses and investments across African and international markets

International Trade & Cross-Border Transactions - Advised multinational clients on customs, tariff classification, import/export requirements and EAC/COMESA trade regulation, including cross-border regulatory risk and transaction structuring.
International Trade & Investment - Supported The World Bank on trade facilitation and regulatory reform in East Africa, reviewing national frameworks against regional and multilateral trade obligations and advising on cross-border commerce.
Corporate & Commercial Advisory - Advised businesses on commercial contracts, corporate governance, contractual risk allocation and regulatory compliance, providing practical solutions to complex commercial issues.
Financial & Tax Matters - Experience advising on tax and customs disputes, debt recovery, creditor enforcement and property financing, with a focus on protecting commercial and financial interests.
Commercial Dispute Resolution - Handled commercial disputes, contractual claims and debt recovery matters, including settlement negotiations, enforcement strategy and assessment of insolvency risks.
